Job Site Projects
The off-campus building project (Residential Home or Community Service Project) will provide the students with an apprenticeship training experience.
The students work under the supervision of the class instructors and will come in contact with the people involved in the project, including, but not limited to:
- Heavy Equipment Repair & Operation Program
- Residential & Industrial Electricity Program
- Plumbers
- Heating Contractors
- Building Inspectors
- Architects
The project will last until the end of the school year. Past job sites include local homes and churches, Auburn’s Pop Warner Fields’ concession stand, and the Weedsport public library.
Program Requirements
Proper Work Clothes
- Jeans or Work Pants
- Work Shoes or Boots are mandatory (NO sneakers)
- Safety Glasses (provided by BOCES)
- Hard Hat (provided by BOCES)
- Work Gloves (optional, but strongly suggested)

- Inexpensive Nail Apron
- Pencil
- Retractable Utility Knife
- Combination Square
- Textbook (Provided by BOCES)
- Loose Leaf Style Notebook (Provided by BOCES to keep notes, handouts & worksheets)
Students enrolling in this program will be responsible for the cost of protective clothing & materials.
